ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – Life is a cabaret! The Second Annual St. Louis Cabaret Festival opens Wednesday, July 31.
Billy Stritch opens the festival. You may know him as a co-performer with Liza Minnelli. He will perform a tribute to Mel Torme’.
On Thursday, August 1, the Sheldon Concert Hall is hosting two outstanding solo shows: Marilyn Maye, who is in the Smithsonian and is called a national treasure, will be there. She is one of Johnny Carsons’ favorites, on the show 76 times, and is currently the toast of the New York nightclub scene and Carnegie Hall.
The festival concludes on Sunday, August 4 with the St. Louis Cabaret Conference Showcase, when both veterans and newcomers take the stage in a celebration.
