Arnold man arrested for bank robbery and drug possession

ARNOLD, MO. (KTVI) --  An Arnold man is behind bars charged with robbing a credit union.

St. Louis County Police arrested Edward W. Starns, 30, for robbing the First Missouri Credit Union in Arnold on July 26.

Police found Starns in the America’s Best Value Hotel at 6602 S. Lindbergh. Authorities say he had drugs, possibly heroin, in his possession.

On Saturday, the St. Louis County prosecutor issued warrants for Starns for second degree robbery and possession of a controlled substance.

Bond for his arrest is set at $100,000.
