(KPLR) – Is doing the right thing worth the extra cost?

From smoking to solar panels, the city of Clayton takes pride in doing what its leaders consider the right thing.

The latest piece of legislation the city passed is a lot less controversial than any smoking ban.

The city promises not to buy any products from a sweatshop.  It might sound like a no-brainer but I think it's a vote worth mentioning.

The new ordinance passed after more than a thousand people died in a Bangladesh sweatshop from a roof collapse.

I have no idea where this shirt was made, I don't pay much as much attention to that sort of thing as much as I should.

The truth of the matter is, how you spend your money is probably more important than how you vote.

I'm JB and that's “The Way It Oughta Be”.
