Mortgage rates are going up

(KPLR)  - The mercury is rising and so are mortgage rates, higher and faster than previously.  Between the beginning of May and the end of June, the average interest rate for a 30 year mixed rate surged from 3.59 to 4.68 percent, the highest since 2011.

Senior VP of Mortgages for First National Bank of St. Louis, Chris Purcell joined Christine Buck Tuesday to discuss mortgage rates.
