(KTVI)-Parents will spend a lot of time in the hospital when they have a sick child. One family is trying to make that process easier. The Ortyl family spent a lot of time at St. Louis Children’s Hospital when their son, Oakes, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. They founded The Mighty Oakes Foundation in 2011. It focuses on helping families cope with the diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects.
