ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) - Pockets of storms continue in a few spots. The strongest are in Northwest Jefferson County and are building into far western/southwestern St. Louis County and will be affecting Six Flags & Route 66 Park and may eventually make it to the Busch Wildlife Area in St. Charles Co.

The second area is in the Metro East, along and east of I-255. These storms are drifting southeast away from Downtown St. Louis and Fair St. Louis and will be more of a concern for southern Madison and Eastern St. Clair counties in Illinois.

Expect 40 mph wind gusts and some penny sized hail along with lots of lightning.
