Security to increase Downtown for Fair St. Louis

DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI) – Hundreds of additional manpower will be deployed by the Metropolitan St. Louis Police Department for the Fair St. Louis in downtown St. Louis.  Officers will be deployed to ensure safety of fair goers for the three day Fourth of July holiday.

Patrols of both uniformed and plain clothes officers will patrolling on foot, vehicles, scooters, bikes and in the air for the festival, on and around the arch grounds.

Police are stressing fair goers to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity.  They also want visitors to park smart, parking their cars in full time attendant parking lots, securing valuables in cars prior to going downtown for Fair St. Louis.
