MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI)-- Maryland Heights residents are staging a protest outside their community center Wednesday evening.

They are upset at the city's recent ‘great streets’ project plans for Dorsett Road.

Maryland Heights city officials said Wednesday night's meeting at the community center is a public informational meeting where they will show the early plans for future improvements on Dorsett Road.

There are some at the center though, that think the city's actions are far from improvement.

The city of Maryland Heights is launching the great street project with the objective of dressing up what they believe is their main street, Dorsett Road.

While city officials say none of that redevelopment has been finalized, that talk of redevelopment is drawing the attention of protestors from other counties in the St. Louis region.
