WENZTVILLE, MO (KTVI) – The Wenztville School District confirms Holt High School, Wentzville Middle School and Heritage Elementary School were all placed on tightened security Wednesday around 1:30pm.

Police say an incident occurred at a home near the schools, but it did not involve the school. They gave the “all clear” at 2:00pm.

Police responded to the 400 block of Kent Drive regarding a reported home invasion. Because it was reported the suspect fled on foot in an area that lies a few blocks from three schools, the schools were placed on “tightened security”. The students were allowed to move freely inside the buildings to change classes. They were not allowed outside.

The suspect is described as a thin white male approximately early to mid 20’s,  messy blonde hair approximately 3”4” in length, wearing a white tee shirt and blue jeans.
