(KPLR) – It`s good convertible weather unless you`re driving through one part of town.

The smell from the landfill in Bridgeton is so bad that I saw an add on Craig`s list from a car owner selling his convertible.

He wrote that it`s a great car unless you`re driving through Bridgeton.  His point was the smell is so bad and so common that everyone would understand what he`s talking about.

I know the company operating the landfill have reached a deal but let`s face it. It wouldn`t stink if we didn`t have so much trash.

I`ve never given much though to how much trash I throw away.  The phrase, carbon footprint doesn`t mean much to someone who grew up in the Gordon Gekko era of, 'Greed is good.'

But maybe I should start paying more attention to how much garbage we`re getting tossing away.

Even if you blame the guys running the landfill, the trash has to come from somewhere.

I'm JB and that's “The Way It Oughta Be”.
