(KPLR) – When Tim Cunningham was faced with the choice between the football field or the musical stage, lucky for us, he chose the latter.
Having played the saxophone for over half his life, Tim spent his college years at Michigan State splitting his time between playing defense and playing music. Although a football scholarship saw him through school, his passion for the sax has carried him well beyond, as he passed up an NFL contract to pursue a career in music.
Cunningham will be featured as part of an amazing concert to benefit Harris Stowe State University.
Tickets are on sale now for the HSSU Spring Fundraiser & Silent Auction, featuring musical performances by saxophonist Tim Cunningham and songstress Angela Sutherlin, May 4, 2013, 7pm, in the Emerson Performance Center.
Your $35 ticket purchase includes hors d`oeuvres, two drink tickets and the concert. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Office of Communications, Marketing, Alumni Affairs & Development at (314) 340-3390.
