(KTVI) – With all the excitement of Opening Day, there will also be some sadness. Stan “The Man” Musial will not be there.

When the Cardinals circle the warning track Monday for Opening Day ceremonies, they’ll do so with heavy hearts.  But the Cardinals are planning a fitting tribute to “The Man” this Friday and throughout the season.

“Stan Musial Night” is Friday, April 12, where all fans will get a Stan Musial replica harmonica. As for players and the rest of the Cardinals staff, they will carry a reminder of the Hall of Famer all year.

Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III says the first thing fans will notice all the players will have the sleeve patches with Stan’s signature and the #6.  “All of our game day staff will be wearing a pin with that logo, it`ll be on the outfield wall, it`ll be on the jerseys,” DeWitt said.

And when Cardinals fans receive those harmonicas next Friday, everyone is going to attempt to play Stan’s signature song, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the 7th inning stretch.
