Junk Yard Fire In Cahokia Leaves Two Injured

CAHOKIA, IL (KTVI)– Two people were injured after a junk yard fire in Cahokia, Illinois.

This happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Camp Jackson at Marty’s Junkyard.

The fire produced thick, black smoke that could be seen from miles away.

Crews could be seen pushing junked cars away from the fire.

It is not believed to be threatening anything beyond the junkyard.

One worker was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. A firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
