BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA (KTVI) – Hurry up and buy? During tight financial times it isn’t uncommon for customers to use local retailers as resources to try-out products before they make online purchases.
One Australia food retailer is allegedly implementing a $5 entry fee for customers to combat this practice. A Reddit user BarrettFox, posted a pic of the notice Celiac Supplies used to alert its patrons. The note says the change is attributed to those who have been using the store for comparison instead of purchasing.
The note also says that the entry fee will be subtracted from the final purchase amount when customers checkout. The retailer claims its prices are competitive with those and found elsewhere.
