Spring Snow Storm Turns St. Louis White

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - An early spring storm is blanketing the Bi-State region this weekend. The storm began as rain Saturday evening and changed over to snow in the early hours of Sunday.

Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories are posted for the entire News 11 viewing area. Snow will continue, heavily at times, throughout the day Sunday. Snowfall totals will range from 2″-4″south, 4″-8″ across metro St. Louis, and 8″-11″ across the northern counties. Some lingering snow flurries and snow showers will hang around into Monday.

Winds will increase out of the north at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph on Sunday, complicating travel with slushy, slick roadways and dangerous travel.  Power outages may occur due to the heavy-wet snow and winds.
