Man & Woman Jump From Kansas City Bridge, Possibly With Baby

KANSAS CITY, MO (WDAF) — Despite efforts to stop them, a woman and man jumped from the Bond Bridge in Kansas city over the Missouri River Thursday morning. Water rescue crews were called in to try to rescue them.

Police were called about 11:30am when a truck was abandoned on the bridge. Witnesses said a man and a woman jumped from the bridge and into the river and they believed the woman was holding a baby. A police spokesman says the woman was holding a blanket, but he could not confirm if a baby was wrapped inside it.
