Man Gets Six Life Terms In Steak ‘n Shake Double Murder

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)– A man convicted of a brutal double murder at a South County Steak-n-Shake received six life terms for the crime.

Oundre Akins, 23, had been found guilty of killing restaurant employees Tammy Cantrell and Mark Gertsner in November 2008 during a robbery.

Both victims were shot multiple times.

Akins brother, Anthony, is set to stand trial in July in the same case.

Cantrell was shot six times, Gertsner once in the head.

The akins brothers had previously worked at the Steak-n-Shake on South Lindbergh Boulevard.
