Bob Newhart To Appear On The Big Bang Theory

Comedy legend Bob Newhart will make his first sitcom appearance in nealy a decade. TVLine reports that he will be playing Professor Proton on the Big Bang Theory on May 2nd.

Newhart pays the part of a former Science TV show host. According to a TVLine source Sheldon tracks down his idol and discovers he can be hired for special events. Sheldon books him to come to the apartment.
