Bernthal – The Way It Oughta Be: Sinkholes

(KPLR) – A local golfer teaches us all a little about big sinkholes.
I have to be careful where I set my chair these days.  You never know when the ground beneath you might just collapse.

Everyone knows the story about the guy in Florida swallowed by a pothole and then recently a golfer from Creve Coeur was trapped when he fell straight down into a sinkhole.

Thankfully that man is okay.

Some of the experts I talked with say a sinkhole around St. Louis should be no surprise.

We have the type of ground composition that will create more in the future.

So if you plan on building or buying a house anytime soon…. You might want to check with someone who knows just as much about what’s under your house as they do about what’s in it.
