Belleville School District Votes To Cut Staff

BELLEVILLE, IL. (KPLR) – The Belleville East and West high schools will be seeing teacher reduction soon.  Monday night the Belleville Township District 201 voted to lay off 3 full time teachers and one part-time teacher.  Additionally, the district will also not fill other open positions.

Next month; the district may consider other staff reductions, as there are worries for the next fiscal year across Illinois for schools, as the state struggles to balance its budget and continue funding education.
