Anchor Reads Own Marriage Proposal On Live TV
(KPLR) -Jillian Pavlica, a news anchor for Fox 54 Hunstville, Ala., was not aware she was reading her very own marriage proposal on the teleprompter when she was delivering the newscast on Saturday. That is until she read — out loud — “Fox 54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed on live TV right now” and her two co-anchors rapidly left the stage.
The host’s boyfriend soon appeared on screen and proposed to a crying Pavlica.
“For years you’ve told me to be patient, that our time would come. Finally all of our pieces are coming together and I can’t picture a day in my life not waking up with you by my side,” he said pausing before the big question. “Jillian Pavlica, will you marry me?”
Pavlica responded “Yes, because you don’t want me to say okay.” And then the hosts segued to the weather report by announcing there was a “forecast for happiness.”
