Steven Jackson Reaches Agreement With Falcons
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– The Rams all-time leading rusher is leaving St. Louis. Steven Jackson has agreed to a contract with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Rams voided Jackson’s contract last Thursday, making him a free agent. Jackson was told by Rams management that he would not be the feature back with the Rams in 2013. Jackson has rushed for 10,135 yards in his nine year with St. Louis. He has rushed for at least 1,000 yards in each of the last eight season he was with the Rams.
Details of Jackson’s new contract with the Falcons were not released. The Rams released this statement on Twitter regarding Jackson leaving the Rams:
