TAYLOR, MI (KTVI) – Investigation is underway of a 6th grader who is believed to have showed up at school with more than enough money to buy her entire school Girl Scout cookies.

WXYZ reports the student’s backpack allegedly had $20,000 stashed in it when she arrived at school. She then proceeded to handout large sums of the money to her schoolmates at Sixth Grade Academy.

Taylor Police confiscated the cash once they were alerted by school officials. The department is holding on to the small fortune until they are able to clarify where the money came from.
