Bee Venom May Help Stop Spread Of HIV

(KPLR) – Researchers at Washington University have found that a toxin in bee venom can destroy the AIDS virus.  The toxin kills the virus, but leaves the surround cells unharmed.

The Washington University researchers are hoping to develop a vaginal gel with the bee venom toxin, that could prevent the spread of HIV.
