Woman Holds Sign To Recruit New Bus Drivers

ALTON, MO (KTVI)–In this economy, finding a help wanted sign can be a rare sighting.

Long ago looking for a new employee was as easy as hanging a sign in the window.

Almost every week you can find Marla Turner somewhere in the Alton area with her sign in hand trying to hire new bus drivers.

In a world of recruitment agencies and professional head hunters, Marla prefers the old fashion ways of doing business.

It’s those old fashion ways that she says helps her find the perfect people for the job.

Not only is Marla a recruiter, but she has been a bus driver for the last 11 years.

The children and their parents love her.  A box full of cards and letters are proof of that.
