People Catching Early Case Of Spring Fever

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)– It wasn’t exactly warm Friday, but the bright sun was out all day.

And so were lots of people suffering from an early case of spring fever.

If you were in the sun, you felt the warmth until the cool wind blew to remind you it is still winter.

But after a cold stretch of weeks, lots of people took what they could get on a beautiful Friday.

Whether it was the driving range to get that swing in shape for the first round of the season or the first cast of the season, we only spotted one boat on Creve Coeur Lake and the fishermen returned empty handed. Not even a bite they told us.

But mostly it was joggers and walkers enjoying the warm sun and fresh air.

Apparently a lot of people were supposed to wash their cars as well! Early spring meets winter road salt, a long line of cars waiting for the Westport Carwash to once again reveal the true color of the paint beneath all the white and grey junk that has accumulated.

Most of those people know rain is in the forecast. It didn’t matter, they had enough of the winter grime.

I think we can all relate to that.
