(KTVI) – Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, is very popular amongst NBA fans in Dallas. His popularity may also be growing among a few fans in Chicago. Cuban recently went the extra mile to show NBA sportsmanship and comradery with one simple gesture.
ESPN Chicago reports the Chicago Bulls were traveling to Indianapolis when one of their plane’s engines began to fail Saturday night. Pilots safely turned the plane around and the team returned to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
The next morning the team was aided by another one of the city’s sports franchises. They successfully traveled to Indy to play the Pacers on the Chicago Blackhawks’ charter plane.
With the Bulls’ plane still grounded Monday evening, it was the Dallas Mavericks’ commander and chief who lent his personal jet to help the Bulls make the trip to San Antonio to face the Spurs.
One Bulls’ player, Louis Amundson, showed his appreciation for the gesture in a tweet:
Our plane broke, @mcuban loaned us his, nice guy… lockerz.com/s/286239929—
