St. Louis Kicks off Severe Weather Awareness Week

(KTVI) – St. Louis City is kicking off a statewide event Monday with their monthly siren test.

The city is participating in Missouri Severe Weather Awareness Week Monday testing sirens and Tuesday there will be a statewide tornado drill which will also include a siren test.

St. Louis City is asking residents to sign up for a free alerting system used to distribute emergency information via text messaging and email.

City residents can also learn how to make a 72-hour emergency kit this Wednesday at the Wohl Recreation Center or Thursday at the Cherokee Recreation center.
