Bullied Boy Dies

(KTVI) – A Philadelphia boy died Sunday, March 3, in a medically induced coma that the family says was caused by bullying. According to Philly.com, 12 year old Bailey O’Neill was put into a medical coma after suffering from sever seizures.  They began after O’Neill was punched by another student at Darby Township School near Philadelphia.

The incident took place on January 10. Family members claim two boys were bullying O’Neill when he was punched by one of the boys, breaking his nose and causing a concussion. O’Neill was check out by doctors and then released. Two days later, O’Neill started having seizures.

An investigation of the incident has taken place. However, no information about the altercation has been released and no charges have been filed. There is no information as to whether the death of O’Neill will change that.
