Anheuser- Busch Fires Back Over “Watered Down” Beer Accusations
ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – Anheuser-Busch is not taking a lawsuit lying down. The brewery is fighting back. And not only are they striking back, they’re doing it in a clever way.
The company has taken out full page ads in newspapers across the country. The ad features one of the company’s canned waters that it donates in times of disaster.
The head line on the ad reads: “They must of tested one of these.” There’s a photo of one of the 71 million cans of water A-B has donated to the American Read Cross and other relief agencies over the years.
The company was accused in lawsuits last week of watering down different products like “Budweiser” claiming the beer contains less alcohol.
The lawyer who filed the suit says less alcohol would save the company tens of millions of dollars.
The ad goes on to say that, “The beer in your hand is the best beer we know how to brew. We take no shortcuts and make no exceptions. Ever. “
St. Louisans are getting a kick out of the way Anheuser Busch is responding to a lawsuit that accuses the company of watering down their beer. Scott Calvin saw the ad and said, “I think it`s very clever I think it`s exactly what they needed to do to fight back against it I thought it was a very clever move on their part.”
Anita Watson said, “The ad is perfect, it`s detailed it explains everything, all you have to do is read.”
