ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI)-A 37 pound cat at a St. Charles animal shelter is gaining worldwide attention. Biscuit the tabby has gotten over 100 adoption offers since his story came out Friday.  Calls have come in from as far away as England and Australia.

A representative of CNN’s Anderson Cooper even called asking about a possible spot on  his show next week.

Biscuit’s former owner loved her cat a little too much.  The tubby tabby is now on a diet to get her weight down so she can find a home.

The cat’s caregiver sent it back to the shelter because they could no longer take care of the feline.  The shelter says the cat is not good with children.
