Kids Audition For Upcoming Muny Season
ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – It was callback auditions at the Muny for hundreds of kids hoping to sing and dance on the Muny stage this summer.
“Being a part of the Muny is an exciting experience. I was in it last year and it was the best part of my summer.”, said 7th grader Nick Boivin who came to the auditions today.
Many of those auditioning said they spent hours upon hours of preparation for this audition.
“Every Tuesday I go to dance lessons and every Friday I have an hour of voice lessons.” said third grader Xander Kerver who hoping to make the Muny cast.
Many of the Muny staff agreed that these final cuts are very difficult.
“You have kids who put their heart and soul into what they are doing and its tough to tell a kid that they are not going to be part of this year’s cast.” said Nancy Sherwin with the Muny.
Those who will be part of this years shows will be called later in the week.
“If I don’t make it, that’s okay. Today was a good experience.”, said fourth grader Kaylee Ryan who tried out today.
