EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KTVI) – A man convicted of sexually assaulting two toddlers was sentenced to natural life in prison Friday afternoon.

Michael S. Burgund was charged with five counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault in December 2012.

Authorities say in 2011, Burgund admitted to sexually assaulting two female family members ages 2 and 3 years old. He later denied the admittance during his trial but was convicted.
