The Pulse Of St. Louis: Court Appointed Special Advocates

(KPLR) – This week on “The Pulse of St. Louis”, CASA or Court Appointed Special Advocates.  These volunteers speak for children in foster care, as their cases move through the judicial system.   Proponents of the program say it gives children a voice they’ve never had in court, but many more are needed to help serve the needs of all of the children in the foster care system.

Do you know anyone who is involved in the program, foster child or advocate?  How did it work for them?  Do you think you have what it takes to be a CASA?

Post your comments below, we’ll read some of them during “The Pulse of St. Louis”, Saturday night at 7:00 pm on KPLR11.
