Vote For Vulcan: Naming Pluto’s Moons

(KTVI)-The captain and first officer of the USS Enterprise have embarked on yet another out of this world mission. William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy are helping get the word out about a new website where residents of Earth and other planets can go to vote on new names for two of Pluto’s moons.

Kirk and Spock are urging Star Trek fans to vote for the name “Vulcan”, which is, of course, also the name of the fictional planet where Nimoy’s Mr. Spock character is from.

The Trek-connection seems to be working. Vulcan has a huge lead over second place Cerberus.
