ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-- The de-icer is flowing freely at Lambert Airport as hundreds of passengers wait anxiously to get out of town.
There is a major back up after more than 300 flights were cancelled during the height of the storm Thursday.
Now airlines are scrambling to re-book those passengers on flights Friday, as new customers showed up for their flights.
The airport handed out pillows and blankets to about 150 stranded passengers who spent the night at Lambert.
Crews worked through the night to make sure the runways were clear Friday morning.
There were some cancellations Friday, but that is mostly because the carriers didn’t have planes in St. Louis to pick up passengers.
