(KPLR) – If you sent flowers this Valentine’s Day do you know where they came from?

Some local florists have a complaint about the cut throat flower business. It seems some out of town florists take out ads giving local phone numbers.

It’s a way to make you think your flowers are coming from someone local. One Missouri lawmaker thinks a big enough problem that he wants to do something about it.

He’s introduced a bill that prohibits out of town florists from misleading shoppers.

Remembering to buy flowers is hard enough, now I guess I need to focus on where they come from.

I’m sure your local florist will appreciate your efforts … I just hope your sweetheart does too.
