Hiring Trends For 2013
(KPLR) – The New Year is in full swing and it means there are different trends in employment. Mark Chilton, director for Robert Half International, shares his insights on some trends you could see in employment this year.

- Skills Gap Continues to Widen – The `dual job` market trend will continue to persist in 2013, with companies increasingly focusing on specialization as the skills gap continues to widen.
- HR Gets `Social` – Companies will take social media a step further – integrating social technologies into the way they recruit, develop and engage employees.
- Employers Tailor Packages to Address Generational Needs – As the workforce continues to diversify, companies will need to take a customized approach to hiring and retention, tailoring packages to address the unique needs and values of each generational group.
