(CNN) – Musician and gun advocate Ted Nugent will attend President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.
He will be the guest of Texas Republican Congressman Steve Stockman.
Nugent has been outspoken in his support for the National Rifle Association and his dislike of President Obama.
He was investigated by the Secret Service last year after saying if President Obama were re-elected he “will either be dead or in jail.”
Stockman said he’s excited to have Nugent sit next to him and is sure he’ll have plenty to say after the address.
First lady Michelle Obama and some Democratic lawmakers have invited people affected by gun violence to attend the president’s address.
