De Smet High School Principal Retiring After 31 Years

CREVE COEUR, MO (KTVI)-After 31 years, the principal of De Smet Jesuit High School, Dr. Greg Densberger, has announced his retirement.  It becomes effective May 31.

In an email to faculty and staff, Densberger wrote, “I can honestly say that my work here has never been a job for me, and I feel privileged and grateful every day when I walk into De Smet Jesuit. “

Densberger became principal in 1983. More than 7,000 young men have graduated from De Smet under his leadership.

After his retirement, Densberger will remain at De Smet Jesuit to help the President with long term strategic planning.
