Bernthal- The Way It Oughta Be: Driving Distractions

(KPLR) – Is it a driving distraction or free speech?  

Some of you might be annoyed by these so-called living billboards but they usually make me chuckle when I drive by.

I think how difficult it must be to stand out in the cold for hours with a smile on your face.

More and more companies are hiring people to dress up in costumes or advertise their business on the sidewalk.

Some cities have growing concerns over whether these dances are a distraction.

They probably are.  But I don’t think we should penalize a business for getting creative and for creating a whole new form of employment.

As long as they stay on the sidewalk drivers should be able to stay on the road.
