Speeding Car Flees Highway Patrol Trooper, Causes Head-On Collision

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Authorities are trying to figure out why a driver led a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper on a high-speed chase into the city. 

According to the Highway Patrol, the chase started when the driver passed the trooper at a high rate of speed.  The trooper attempted to stop the car, but the driver would not pull over.

The chase went into St. Louis city limits and ended on Hampton Avenue when the car slammed head-on into another vehicle.

Authorities are investigating. There is no word on injuries at this time.
