More Beds Added To Keep Homeless Warm
ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)– Temperatures are expected to drop to over the next 24 hours and MoDOT is in the process of treating the 6200 miles of roads with brine and beat juice in preparation for freezing rain. They also have 200 trucks and workers out treating the roads and plan to bring in a new crew at 10 p.m. Thursday night.
FOX 2 also found one homeless man who is living on the streets and looking for a warm place to stay. Toran Williams says the shelters he’s tried to visit are always full. According to the city of St. Louis, various warming centers along with 175 beds have been added this winter to take in shelter overflow.
