Suspect Flees Police, Tosses Drugs Out Car Window
PINE LAWN, MO (KPLR)-A busy night for Pine Lawn Police included a car chase that shut down part of Interstate70. Officers said they not only had to chase a suspect, they also had to chase down a lot of evidence in that pursuit.
Police tried to stop 29-year-old Steven Lamont Terry just after midnight Saturday at I-70 and Jennings Station Road. Terry allegedly drove off throwing drugs, including heroin, ecstasy, and crack cocaine, and a pistol out of his car window. The chase ended at I-70 and Hanley Road.
Terry was wearing an ankle monitoring bracelet and was on probation for drug charges. He now has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Police said those were just the most serious charges on the list.
