(KPLR) - President Barack Obama signed a new law Thursday that will track sick soldiers.  It involves fallout from toxic burn pits, first exposed by FOX2 nearly three years ago.
It used to be common for the military to burn landfill waste, right on military bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Congressional testimony documented the military burning everything including plastics, body parts, computers and nuclear waste.

The Wymore’s were among ten families who fought for a registry to track sick soldiers.  And after years of work, they have an official outcome.

The Wymore’s and veteran Aubrey Tapley worked with former Congressman Todd Aiken to push the new tracking system.

The new database will be called 'The Open Burn Pit Registry.'
