(KPLR) – The tragic murder of a missing mom left questions about missing persons investigations.

JB takes a look at some of those questions in, The Way It Oughta Be.

When Ebony Jackson's baby was found inside this apartment complex nobody knew what happened to her.

Police didn't know whether she was a suspect or a victim.

Family members were upset more wasn't done to search for their loved one.

Missouri has an endangered persons list.  Jackson never went on it.  The problem is there was no proof she was in danger.

Police worry if they sound the alarm for every missing person then we'll start tuning out missing persons report.

Well maybe we should change that and take that chance.

I know if it was someone in my family, I'd want as much attention as possible.

I'm JB and that's The Way It Oughta Be.
