Police Make Four Arrests In City’s First Two Homicides
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police have made arrests in both of the city’s first homicides.
Authorities say they arrested two people in the death of a 19 year old man from North St. Louis and the death of a 22-year-old South St. Louis store employee.
Authorities arrested a 20-year-old man and a juvenile late Thursday night in connection with the shooting in the 5100 block of Kensington. In that case, police say Lamont Steward, 19, was shot in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities took the two suspects into custody a short time later.
Police also arrested two suspects in a shooting that happened on South Grand Avenue Thursday night. The male suspect allegedly shot and killed a Sam’s Beauty Supply store worker after the worker accused a woman of stealing.
The worker and another female were both shot. The 22-year-old male victim died at an area hospital. The woman is in serious condition.
Both the 33-yaer-old male suspect and a 28-year-old female were arrested.
