Business Owner Hopes Facebook Post Will Catch Thief
O’FALLON, MO (KTVI) — A kitchen cooler was stolen Sunday morning off the back dock of B Halls Family Grill in O’Fallon, Missouri.
The theft was captured on a security camera and Christy Hall, the owner of the restaurant, has posted the photos of the theft on her Facebook page.
Now this thief may be the most recognized face in O’Fallon.
The refrigerated unit kept salads and cold cuts for the kitchen. As one of the cooks stated, “It’s a huge part of the kitchen.”
The crew at B Halls believes it’s just a matter of time before someone puts a name with the face in the video.
After the theft, the police were called and the reports filed, but Hall believed more could be done. She thought she could use Facebook to share the video and the photos, “We couldn’t just let it go.”
She posted her story and his picture on the restaurant’s Facebook page. Hall explained, “I don’t know, but sure, give it a shot!”
Waitress Kelly Drury thinks this will help, “I think we have such a good customer base, with this going out on Facebook and it just spreading as fast as it did, O’Fallon is not that big.”
“Maybe he wasn’ t smart enough to realize we had a camera, so I sure hope he gets caught,” adds Hall.
The restaurant crew thinks it’s just a matter of time before someone recognizes this face. “Somebody has to know who he is,” says Hall.
Anyone who has information about the individual in the security video is asked to call Detective Mountain at 636-379-5534.
