Police Standoff Ends Peacefully In Maryland Heights

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) – Police in Maryland Heights are involved in what appears to be a standoff situation in a senior living community off Fee Fee Road.  Officers responded about 8:40pm Thursday.

The incident is underway in the Fee Fee Manor apartment complex.  Police in SWAT gear are visible in the hallway of one of the buildings.  Maryland Heights Police Chief Tom O’Connor was visible inside the building with others, gathered near the door to an apartment.

At least one resident reports being evacuated from his home as the situation unfolded Thursday evening.

Fire crews were on standby across the street at Pattonville Middle School while officers tried to resolve the situation.

Asked if it was a hostage situation, officers said, “no.”  But they did call it, “a situation.”
