ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I don't know if you are what some people call a germaphobe but I'm getting there.

The older I get the more I worry about picking up germs from public places like the bathroom door.  I just don't enjoy being sick.

That's why I was thrilled to find a door pedal that opens the bathroom door when I visited a public restroom the other day. I don't know why we don't see more of them. You can open the door with the sole of your shoe.

Think of the germ spreading that could be stopped ...or the awkward attempts to pull the door open with an elbow or a paper towel in hand.

So I'm not sure who invented the door foot pedal opener but thank you.  I feel better already.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
